Relationship Therapy in San Diego, California
Hi there!
I’m Elisa, a Latina couples therapist in San Diego
All you want is for life to be easier, and not feel like everything is about to come crashing down. You want to feel calm, connected, and confident at home and at work. You want to be free from the constant arguments that leave you shutting down and in tears. You’re just so tired of it all. Let me help.
Plus, as a Latina therapist, who is the daughter of an immigrant, in an interracial marriage, and a mom, I have both lived experience & years of therapeutic experience working out deeply felt issues.
When I am not working with clients, I enjoy hanging out with my family or taking my dog on long walks while listening to my favorite podcast Ologies.

Couples Therapy Focused on Patterns and Solutions
It is time to get the life & relationship you want and deserve.
Life is short and precious. We don’t have time to be unhappy with our relationships.
The fighting is always the same. So how do you talk about the hard things without it blowing up?
All you want is to finally feel calm, confident, and good enough for your partner, but most importantly for yourself. You know a great relationship is possible, you just don’t know how to get there. Let me help you with couples therapy or individual relationship therapy designed to break patterns using Emotionally Focused Therapy.
What I can help you with
Services
Individual Therapy
Are you wanting to break cycles and learn an easier more, peaceful way of life? I work with adults struggling with feeling like they just can’t get their life in order, can’t date, can’t figure out why their relationships fall apart.
Couples & Family Therapy
Are you over the arguments that never get resolved? It always ends in tears and shutting down. Let me help. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, culturally humble, and EFT trained.
The Process
Consultation
After filling out my contact form, I will get back to you to set up a time to speak for about 10-15 minutes. During this call, we will explore if I am the right fit to help you reach your goals. The first consultation is free.
Intake
Next we schedule our intake session. I will set up your online portal where forms and sessions can be accessed. A card must be on file prior to our first session. Our first session is all about exploring what is going on and how therapy can help. If for whatever reason we decide that this is not the right fit, I will give your appropriate referrals.
On-going
We will come up with measurable goals to get you the life you deserve. Therapy can make things feel worse in the beginning. This work isn’t easy and I will support you along the way. On average I see people for 6-9 months.
A Therapist Licensed in California and Arizona
I hold licenses in California and Arizona as a licensed marriage and family therapist. That means if you are a resident of either of those two states, we can work together! I often have people who travel between the two states or who are in long-distance partnerships.
